ProHealth FibroSleep Review

This review looks at a product called FibroSleep by ProHealth. This product claims to be a powerful sleep aid that is composed of pure and natural ingredients in order to support deep sleep. But can you really wake up feeling refreshed and restored, like this product promises you will? Here we investigate the formula and the manufacturer behind FibroSleep to tell you what you can expect from this supplement.

There are many active ingredients found in FibroSleep. Most are clinically proven and scientifically researched to promote restful sleep. Some of them include Valerian, Hops, Lemon Balm and Passion flower. However, there are also many ingredients that leave us questioning why they were included here.

One such ingredient is Sedapine which is a patented proprietary blend. There are ingredients listed in the blend, but no specific amounts of each ingredient. Nothing else is written about the benefits of this blend.

There is also the addition of ZMA. This is a blend of Zinc, Magnesium and Vitamin B6 which is usually used as a post-workout recovery aid by athletes. It is a bit of a stretch to assume that this translates to a sleep aid especially considering that there is no research that proves its efficacy to inducing sleep.

With so many ingredients taking up precious space in this formula, we were pleased to see the addition of Melatonin which is essential for healthy sleep patterns. However, with only 3 mg of Melatonin, this product has only half the amount of Melatonin that is found in our top sleep aid supplement.

Another point we noticed is that there are 60 capsules in this bottle and the manufacturer recommends taking 1-4 capsules before bedtime. This would mean that you could potentially finish one bottle after 15 days! If you would need to buy a new bottle every 2 weeks, this would be quite an expensive sleep aid.

To help with the expense of this product, the manufacturer offers discounts for consumers who enroll in their autoship program. We are always wary of recommending signing up for automatic monthly payments because it can be near impossible to cancel once a company has your credit card information.

We are pleased to report that there is a money-back guarantee offered on FibroSleep, however it is only valid for 30 days. Many times it can take that long to see if a sleep aid is effective and therefore we would have liked to see a longer grace period offered by ProHealth to let consumers really see if this product works for them.

Is ProHealth FibroSleep Effective?

Based on the reviews we found on this product, it seems it is effective. We did of course come across a few negative reviews showing that this product does not work for everyone, which is fair enough. Not every product is going to work for every person. We credit the manufacturer for posting negative reviews as many manufacturers shy away from that. As a result, you will find there is not much consistency amongst reviews.

Is ProHealth FibroSleep Safe?

If pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your health care professional before using this product. Please consult your physician if you are on prescription antidepressants. This product should not be taken with prescription antidepressants, weight-control drugs, or other serotonin modifying agents.

Hops should not be used if you are pregnant. Some herbal components including peppermint and lemon balm contribute small amounts of salicylates, so this may be of concern to people with salicylate sensitivity. Ginger stimulates circulation and should not be taken with blood thinners.

As with any new supplement you introduce into your diet, you should always consult with your health care provider about any prior health conditions that you have.

Summary

We found some positive things about ProHealth’s FibroSleep. This formula does have clinically-proven ingredients that could benefit someone searching for a sleep aid. We were pleased to see the inclusion of Valerian, Hops and Melatonin. However, we would have liked to see a higher dose of Melatonin as this is only half the dosage that is found in our Editor’s Choice’s sleep aid. We also wonder about the excessive amount of ingredients that are not clinically-proven to promote restful sleep as well as the true dosage and efficacy of the proprietary blend found here.

While the price seems to be mid-range, it actually works out to be quite expensive if you take it according to the manufacturer’s directions. It is possible to go through 2 bottles a month, which would render this the most expensive sleep aid we have come across. To help with the burden of cost, there is an option to save money with special discounts but that requires consumers to sign up for ProHealth’s autoship program. Consumers are usually wary of signing up for automatic monthly payments as they can be extremely difficult to cancel.

We do appreciate the money-back guarantee that is offered by the manufacturer as a strong return policy is often indicative as to how well a product will work. We like that it is possible to return used bottles, which is not always the case. It would have been better if the return policy is longer than 30 days as some sleep aids may take that long until consumers can see results.
